It’s with deep regret, we understand the demise of Prof. Dayantha Wijesekera, Icon of vocational Education, Excellent Teacher and above all a fine gentleman.

When we approached him to assist us to develop a NVQ programme in Oct 2015, he without any hesitation guided us. His vision for our Programme is always the career path leading to the Qualification as Pharmacist.

Thank you, Sir, for all your guidance, dedication and commitment towards the Vocational Education, which bonded us together.

May his soul attain supreme Nirvana.

Mr.M.Thavakumar ( 10^th Nov 1950 – 30^th Nov 2022)

“apa”  Founder member – Founder Vice President ( 2016-2018)

“apa” with deep regret announces the demise of its Founder Member, Mr. M. Thavakumar who served as the initial Vice President ( 2016 – 2018 ).

Late Mr. M. Thavakumar, was a Pharmacy Proprietor in Jaffna Peninsula

 ( Niru Pharmacy, Alaveddy ). He was the initiator of the proposal to establish a Certification for the Experienced Pharmacy Employees through

Late Dr. S. Gnanapandithen.

The NVQ Certificate for Pharmacy Technician by NAITA is the results of his proposal. His leadership through “Yarl Pharmacy Owners Association” is commendable.

May his soul attain the supreme Mukthi.
